At the beginning of July, I had the privilege to photograph the play at Herald Theatre called ‘Prima Facie’. I was blown away by the performance of the very talented New Zealand actress Acushla-Tara Kupe. The play was presented by Plumb Theatre and directed by Paul Gittins.
Written by Suzie Miller, this gripping courtroom drama explores themes of consent, power dynamics, and societal perceptions of sexual assault. Prima Facie raises important questions about the meaning of justice and the inherent biases within our legal system. With its thought-provoking narrative and powerful performances, Prima Facie is a must-see production that tackles pressing social issues with raw honesty and emotional intensity.
Here are a few photos from the play.
